Have you ever wanted to say, “Do I have to?” What if you don’t want to do something like go to work, finish that project, clean house, cook a healthy meal, or exercise? You always have the choice to do or not do ___________ (fill in the blank), as long as you are willing to live with the consequences.
Our life is made up of the choices we make. Every moment we are choosing to do something rather than something else. Most of our choices are habitual. While you may not like what you are doing, you very well may like the result. This could be earning a paycheck from working, waking up to a clean kitchen by cleaning it after dinner, or feeling fit by getting regular physical activity.
Choose one thing today that you can do, even though you don’t enjoy doing it, but you like the results. Focus on the benefits. You may feel different and actually be able to find enjoyment in the process.
Love, Health & Happiness,
Phyllis
